A recent study shows that ALA-PDT can be effective in the treatment of acne and particularly beneficial for inflammatory lesions. This treatment modality offers clinicians a safe and effective tool in treating acne lesions without the worries associated with long-term antibiotic therapy and isotretinoin therapy.
